8mm and Super 8mm Reel Archiving

AD Visuals excels in digitizing your 8mm and Super 8mm film reels onto DVD. We have hundreds of satisfied customers over the last 5 years.

Each reel will be handled with care so as not to damage it. We will transfer your reels using a flicker free transfer method. We then apply several filters to make the film look as clean as possible. Each reel will be one jump point on the DVD. We also place subtitles on the bottom of the screen indicating a reel change. Each DVD will have 60 minutes of reel footage placed on it to provide you with the highest possible quality.

If you would like to personalize your DVD using your own photos for the menu background and the DVD label, this is offered at no additional charge.

All your materials will be returned to you undamaged via Insured and trackable shipment. A flat rate return shipment charge of $19.95 will be added to most orders. Free shipping on all reel transfer orders over $300.

We offer several options for an audio track to go along with your transferred reels. You can choose to have it silent, have a projector sound added for a nostalgic feel, or your favorite musical style.

We have a large selection of royalty free music to choose from. Please indicate below what style you would like to have your transferred reels set to. Please add an additional $9.95 per DVD for adding a musical style.

Most of our customers prefer us to do the work. However, if you would like to do the editing yourself, we will convert your material to a file format that you can edit yourself. The files will be sent to you on either blank DVDs or an external hard drive. We will transfer the files to your external Hard Drive at no cost, or we can purchase one for you and send it to you.

NOTE: We will save your files as MPEG2, DVD quality, files. If you would like to have your files saved as a different file type, please let us know. An External Hard Drive is recommended as video files can be very large. please allow an additional 7-10 days if you would like us to purchase an external Hard Drive for you. Prices and sizes are listed below. AD Visuals uses Maxtor and Seagate drives for their 5 year warranty and for your protection.

We use only the highest quality DVD-R discs that are compatible with the majority of DVD players on the market. If you would prefer your project to be on DVD+R discs, please let us know. All the discs we produce come with a standard color label with a photo or text, depending on your wishes. We also offer you the option of having your project on a Lightscribe disc. This is a DVD with the label/image burned onto the front of the disc. This is great for all your special occasions.
