Video Archiving

Most archiving services offer just the transfer of your tape onto a DVD, with all the simple extras costing you more. This is not the case at AD Visuals. We will convert your tape and transfer it to a DVD complete with a background, menu jump points (approximately every 10 minutes), and label. The background can be a picture you provided or a generic background matching the material on the tape. All for one low price. If you would like to specify jump points, please let us know. Jump points will be approximately every 10 minutes, unless otherwise notified.

The tapes we convert are VHS, VHS-C, Hi8, and MiniDV.

COMBINATION ARCHIVING

Many times, you will have multiple tapes of the same event, perhaps from different angles. For example, three of your friends videotape your wedding for you, and now you have three tapes, each with something special on them. If this is the case, we offer the service of editing these together, turning it into one seamless DVD presentation. We can take specific scenes that you would like, or take the best shots and angels that we see, and put these all together. We also use something similar to a “picture in picture” style, to get the most of your taped event. (Please see samples below)

DELUXE PACKAGE – PHOTO MONTAGES

If you would like to have a photo montage added to your DVD, we can combine photos and video to make a montage commemorating your even. This goes great with weddings, anniversaries, vacations, or anything that you have video and photos of. This includes a full size case with color cover and label.

NOTE: Combining the archiving and photo montages will save you money. Please select DELUXE package below for this offer.

Most of our customers prefer us to do the work. However, if you would like to do the editing yourself, we can convert your material to a file format that you can edit yourself. We will place this on either blank DVDs or an external hard drive. You may provide us an external Hard Drive at no cost, or we can purchase it for you and send it to you.

All your materials will be returned to you undamaged via Insured and trackable shipment. A flat rate return shipment charge of $19.95 will be added to most orders. Free shipping on all video transfer orders over $200.

NOTE: We can accommodate most special requests. If you would like to have your files saved as a specific file type, please let us know. An External Hard Drive is recommended as files can be very large. additionally, please add an additional 7-10 days if you would like us to purchase an external Hard Drive for you. Prices and sizes are listed below. AD Visuals uses Maxtor and Seagate drives for their 5 year warranty and for your protection.

We use only the highest quality DVD-R discs that are compatible with the majority of DVD players on the market. If you would prefer your project to be on DVD+R discs, please let us know. We also offer you the option of having your project on a Lightscribe disc. This is a DVD with the label/image burned onto the front of the disc. This is great for all your special occasions.

Audiocassette Archiving

We will archive you audio cassettes and save them as MP3 files for you to enjoy. This is an especially wonderful feature for spoken recordings. We will clean up the background noise as best as possible, to make the recording as clear as can be.

If you would like your recorded saved as a playable CD, please let us know.
